Whether you're launching a new business or taking your existing one into the digital realm, having a presence on Google Business Profile is essential for growth. This guide covers two scenarios:
Scenario 1 : You need to create a new Google Business Profile (GBP) account
Scenario 2: Another business is listed at your location
Scenario 1: Creating a New Google Business Profile
The first step to be able to sign up for Google Business Profile (GBP) is to have a Google Account.
If you don't have one yet, please create one here.
Once you have a Google Account, please:
- Access google.com/business and follow the steps stated there.
- You will be asked to enter the name, address, phone number, URL and business category for your business.
- You may need to position the marker of the location of your business on the map.
- To complete the registration and publish your location data, you need to verify your account or your locations. For more information on verifying your location(s) click here.
More information can also be found on the Google Support page.
Note: If prompted that the listing is already claimed, click "Request access" and follow the instructions.
