Connecting your business to Google through Listings enhances your online visibility and boosts SEO, allowing your business details to sync directly with Google, one of the most important search engines. This seamless integration helps keep your business information accurate and updated across all linked platforms.

Steps to Connect Listings with Google

1. Connect Listings with Google

   - Start the process by clicking the  "Connect" button in the pop-up from your dashboard. This is found in the Integrations section.

2. Connect Google Business Profile

   - After clicking the "Connect" button, a Google pop-up window will appear.

   - If you wish to connect a Google Business Profile managed by someone else, click the blue “here” in the pop-up to send them a link.

   - Otherwise, click "Start" to proceed.

3. Sign into Google

   - Log in to the Google account that manages your Google Business Profile or the account you wish to use for managing your location(s).

   - If you don’t have an account, click “Create Account” and follow the steps to set up a new Google account.

4. Allow Access to Local Listings Connector

   - A window will prompt you to grant access to the Local Listing Connector for the Google account. Click “Allow.”

   - If you have previously allowed access, this step will be skipped.

5. Individual Use Cases

Different scenarios determine how you will link Listings with Google and establish a verified Google Business Profile. Choose the steps that match your situation:

   - 5.1. Your Business Location Isn't on Google Yet:

If your business location isn’t on Google, click the "Create and Connect" button in the pop-up. This will add your location to Google. Then, proceed to verify your location.

   - 5.2. Your Business Location Is on Google but Not Yet Claimed and Verified:

Click "Confirm" next to your business location's name to connect the unverified listing managed by you. Proceed to verify your location.

   - 5.3. Your Location Is on Google and Managed by You:

If you manage multiple locations organised in Business Groups, select a group to add your location or choose to manage the location in your "Ungrouped Locations." Confirm the location from your Google Profile Manager dashboard.

   - 5.4.1. Your Location Is on Google and Managed by Someone Else - Request Access:

If a third party manages your location, request access directly in the "Connect Flow." If your request is ignored or denied, Google may allow you to verify the location manually after three days.

   - 5.4.2. Your Location Is on Google and Managed by Someone Else - Inform the Manager to Connect and Verify:

If a third party manages the Google Business Profile and does not have access to the Listings dashboard, you can send them a link to guide them through the connection process. They need to sign in to the Google account, confirm, and grant access to the Local Listings Connector.

6. Verify Your Google Business Location

   - Click "Verify this location" in the Connect Flow to request a verification code.

   - Verification methods vary by location. Options include:

     - Phone: Immediate code delivery to the registered number.

     - Email: Code sent to the email associated with the Google account.

     - Postcard by Mail: A postcard with the verification code will be sent to the business address within 10 days. Note that verification codes are valid for 30 days.

Benefits of Connecting Listings with Google

- Consistent Information: Keeps business information accurate across all platforms.

- Easier Management: Simplifies updating business details through one dashboard.
